Essential Screens is dedicated to providing legally compliant background screens to all their clients. To this end, Essential Screens requires all their employees to pass a basic FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) certification, which is completed through our trade organization, Professional Background Screening Association. Senior staff members will obtain their advanced accreditation. Both certifications must be completed biannually. 

All employees must complete additional monthly training to stay up to date on other federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and best practices.

All new employees go through an extensive 6-week training program to include webinars and one-on-one training with an experienced member of the Essential Screens training team. All new employees must pass the basic FCRA certification within 30 days of their hire date.

All criminal screens are quality controlled by a senior member of our compliance team before they are returned to the client to ensure maximum accuracy. Essential Screens maintains a dispute percentage of .035% which is lower than the 2.2% industry average.
