Should you Dispute?

If you believe the information on a background check completed by Essential Screens is inaccurate or incomplete, you may contact Essential Screens to have this report re-investigated. Upon request, Essential Screens will provide you with a free copy of your background check to assist you with the dispute process. This process can take up to 30 days, depending on the overall scope of the screen. It is Essential Screens’ policy to quickly respond to all disputes.

How to dispute a background check

Disputing a background check is easy. Simply fill out the form below and a member of our team will review and get back to you as soon as possible.

If you wish to dispute the accuracy of information found in the consumer report completed on you by Essential Screens, please submit the documents listed below, the disputed information, and the reason this report was conducted:

  • Dispute Notification Form, signed
  • A copy of your state issued picture identification
  • Any court documents supporting the changes you are requesting, if applicable
