Travis Powell

Travis Powell, President and Founder of Essential Screens, has more than 10 years of direct experience leading and growing a team of professionals who manage human resource functions and screening requirements for 1,000’s of other companies. In his current position, he is responsible for providing leadership to his team, growing his business through business development, managing the operations and implementation of policies throughout the company.

Under his leadership the company has consistently seen 50% or more growth each year since 2013. Through building relationships, focusing on quality, customer service and constantly finding ways to improve processes, it is expected that Essential Screens will continue to grow and be successful.

Outside of work, Travis is on the board of directors of CNHRMA and is the chair of the workforce readiness committee. In his spare time he enjoys snow skiing and spending time with his wife and three children.

Nicole Powell

Nicole Powell, Vice President, works closely with the Essential Screens team to streamline processes and ensure quality data in our screening procedures. She works with staff development and training in growing our team of screening professionals. She is also responsible for developing methods to effectively market and promote the services Essential Screens offers. Nicole enjoys sharing the importance of running quality background screens with potential clients.

Nicole has her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and works with consulting and as a practicing physical therapist. When she is not working she enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family.

Dawn Hill

Dawn Hill, Director of Operations, works with clients and staff to educate them on the ever-changing screening industry. Dawn enjoys working with clients to help them find customized solutions to their background and drug screening needs. She has received her FCRA Advanced Certification, highlighting her knowledge in the background screening industry.

Dawn prides herself in delivering quality screening products and oversees our quality assurance and auditing procedures. She works with all aspects of the background screening delivery, but most especially enjoys working with clients to improve their screening processes.

In her free time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading and cooking.
